Taken from a lyric in Outkast's "Aquemini", we would like to present our debut free album "Heroes Eventually Die". To us, "Heroes Eventually Die" represents the cycle of everything really, but specifically our claim that "heroes" or "rap icons" are eventually replaced and this album is us auditioning for the part (Spoiler Alert: We're going to get it). At the same (damn) time, we tell a 3 part story with this album that enables us to look into different aspects of our own ambitions.
The section that lasts from tracks 1 to 5 and serves as the introduction to us, what we're about, and our dreams in this rap shit. We'll have more in-depth descriptions on the RapGenius pages of the tracks. Track 6 is an interlude entitled "Hypnogogia" and is literally defined as the transitional state between wakefulness and sleep. In context of the album story, we fall asleep in the studio and the perspective switches to a couple of dudes that are "living the dream" so to say. So tracks 7 to 10 serve as imaginings of how life will be when our hip-hop dreams come true. Track 11 is another interlude entitled "Back To Reality" and is pretty simple. This just represents us waking up and realizing that we were dreaming and the following tracks are actualizations of the #struggle.
Overall, this is a project we are very proud of and it's not as serious as all this sounded haha. It's actually a fun listen, we just wanted to make sure everybody understood what we was doing with this. Check out the song pages, there is even more detail on the concept and specific lines there.
